I was looking to get inspired today. I was also curious as to who took photographs for American Eagle Outfitters (I do a lot of online shopping there). So I looked it up and found Nagi Shakai. I want to try to emulate her work in means of lighting. She has soft, semi-flat lighting with areas of high contrast. I think it's pleasing to look at.

YES!!! This is what I've spent my afternoon doing! My apartment is full of Christmas decorations now: snowflakes, icesicle lights, a Christmas tree...complete with ornaments, candy canes, bead garland, and tinsel!!



I also have my amazing scent bug on, which is spewing out delicious cinnamon stick smells!
I can't wait to start baking my sugar cookies!
